Albertsons Companies (ACI) has prototyped the Layered Marketplace decor package at the new Safeway in Woodland, WA. Part of ACI’s portfolio of banners, the latest Safeway location features a supermarket design by KRS that harmonizes local customization with chain-wide consistency.
The décor incorporates regional elements throughout to connect with the small Southern Washington community in a genuine & personable way. A warm & neutral base color palette appeals to ACI’s broad customer base, while pops of color lead shoppers through the store.
Each grocery department header has its own charismatic riff on the store’s material palette & graphic style, creating the feeling of a marketplace with unique destinations. The design construction creates layers of detail that are budget-friendly and flexible, strategizing for streamlined rollouts to future locations.
From the marketplace design to manufacturing and installation, KRS ensured a cohesive and high-quality execution from concept to completion.
